Whenever a thirty year milestone occurs, something special is done to celebrate, and this year, bd’s Mongolian Grill of Ann Arbor stepped up to donate a special dinner for 275 people at St. Louis Center’s 30th Annual Recognition Dinner. Led by Marketing Director Daniele Hughes, a former Chelsea H.S. graduate, Hughes and her staff worked with the St. Louis Center Parents Association to provide a wonderful selection of dishes to please the large crowd.

Before the dinner, a special Mass was concelebrated by Good Shepherd Award winner Fr. William Wegher of St. Mary, Pinckney and the priests of the Servants of Charity that was followed by the dedication of a Special Needs Playground built for the residents during the summer of 2012.

  1. This is just 1 of the many wonderful events I’ve attended with my daughter who lives @ SLC & we both enjoyed the dinner that day. I would certainly rae this wonderful special residential center a 10+ (theres not enought rating stars in blogs) for the loving care the residents receive 24/7/365 for these special needs “Angels Unaware” unique individulas. I know from my daughters personal care experience & I continue to enjoy assisting them in all of their fundraising events. SLC is a unique 1 of a kind group which has been complimented by professionals that they should be recognized as a role model for the results of their care and services provided their residents. I urge everyone to assist them in supporting their fundraising activities as you’ll receive the satisfaction of directly helping people that need, deserve and truly appreciate what everyone does for them. From a very grateful, caring mom of a resident.
