One of the highlights of the day included a visit from U.S. Congressman Tim Walberg (R), from the 7th Congressional District of Michigan. Mr. Walberg welcomed everyone to the outing and talked about his experiences with St. Louis Center and what a special place it has become for him. “The type of impact that this organization makes goes way beyond whatever the government could ever think about doing…The impact that you make in the lives of people, the residents, and their family and friends, is extremely important to society, and the work that you are doing today will last for an eternity.” Other highlights of the event included a sports memorabilia auction and a drawing for a trip for two for an Alaskan Cruise.
