Fr. Guanella Hall Dedicated

Women Residents and Staff of St. Louis CenterChelsea, MI – Over 250 friends and supporters of St. Louis Center in Chelsea, MI gathered with the Most Rev. Bishop Earl Boyea of the Lansing Diocese to help dedicate the newly remodeled Fr. Guanella Hall at St. Louis Center on Sunday, June 8, 2014. The dedication ceremony was the result of $2 million in improvements that had taken place both inside and outside the building to make it more accommodating for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are now a part of our growing aging population.

Following Mass, the ceremonial ribbon was cut by Provincial Fr. Soosai Rathinam of the Divine Providence Province of the Servants of Charity and Michael Malinowski, State Deputy of the Michigan Knights of Columbus. Bishop Boyea then proceeded to conduct a formal blessing of the building, followed by a procession of dignitaries who came forward to congratulate the leadership of St. Louis Center and their Legacy Campaign Committee on their accomplishments.
