Pancakes and Pumpkins

SLC resident with a pumpkinChelsea – One of the most popular celebrations in American culture is Halloween, which is usually characterized by costumes, decorated pumpkins, and sweet treats. On October 18th, the Knights of Columbus from Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Michigan Center, MI rose bright and early to visit SLC to prepare breakfast for all of our residents. When the residents were finished, they each received a pumpkin and “sharpie” pen to draw a face on their pumpkin before taking it back to their rooms to celebrate our Halloween custom. This was the second year for this program initiated by these generous Knights and their Ladies.
