Macomb Twp., MI – During the fall of 2014, Fr. Enzo Addari met Nino Randazzo at a fundraising event in Macomb County, and he promised to help St. Louis Center with a fundraiser of his own. Six months later Mr. Randazzo kept his word, and on April 23, 2015, a large fundraising event was held under a tent behind Randazzo’s Fresh Market on Hayes Rd. in Macomb Twp. The event was titled, “A Men’s Social Fundraiser,” and nearly 200 gentlemen were in attendance. Attendees enjoyed selections of their favorite Italian foods, along with wine, espresso, desserts, cigars and music. It provided a great opportunity for Fr. Enzo to promote St. Louis Center to the Macomb County Italian-American community, and a significant amount of money and good will were raised to support the program’s operations.
St. Louis Center is located in Chelsea, MI in Western Washtenaw County, and is a residential care facility for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It has been run by the Servants of Charity congregation of priests since 1960, whose headquarters are located in Rome, Italy. Fr. Addari said, “I’m grateful for the support of all of our friends who came out to support this event, and I hope we can do this again next year. The Randazzo family is wonderful to work with, and we can’t thank them enough for all of their help.” For more information about St. Louis Center, visit www.stlouiscenter.org.
