Chelsea – The “Taste of Chelsea” event is now entering its 5th year, and promises to be better than ever with a new twist. This year’s event will include a “wine pull” where people can pull a random cork from a bucket for $20 donation to St. Louis Center that will match a premium bottle of wine that has been donated for the event. Along with this excitement, will be the opportunity to sample the food prepared by many of the best restaurants in Chelsea, including: Arctic Breakaway, Common Grill, Indian Brook Trout Farm, Chelsea Milling Company (Jiffy Mix), Mill Pond Bread, Uptown Coney Island, Smokehouse 52 BBQ, Stivers Restaurant, Fr. Bill Turner’s Rice Pudding, Wesley’s Catering, Zingerman’s Creamery, and Zou Zou’s Café.
This event is a benefit for St. Louis Center, a residential care center for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities west of Chelsea that has been in operation since 1960 and run by the Servants of Charity. Tickets for this event are available at St. Mary Parish and St. Louis Center during normal business hours and during this weekend’s Masses. The event will be held at St. Mary Parish located at 14200 E. Old US-12, Chelsea, MI 48118, and tickets are $45 each. Call 734-475-8430 for more information, or visit www.stlouiscenter.org.
