Stars Shine at Andiamo’s for Charity

IMG_1465The stars came out on a glittering night on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Andiamo’s Showroom in Warren, MI, as soprano Eva Evola performed brilliantly with a supporting cast to raise funds for three favorite charities, including St. Louis Center in Chelsea, the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit and the Dominican Sisters of Peace in Oxford. Ms. Evola performed for two hours with internationally renowned tenor Aaron Caruso from New York, Sinatra stylist Mark Randisi, operatic baritone Dino Valle, concert pianist Stephen Vaglica and Ensemble Director Simone Vitale.

Ms. Evola visits St. Louis Center every year during the Christmas season and sings Christmas carols with the residents. “I love how St. Louis Center cares for people with special needs, and I’m happy to help raise funds to help support them.” This was the second year for this event at Andiamo’s, and there were 400 people in attendance that enjoyed a collection of modern music by Bernstein, opera classics from Puccini and Mozart, and Old Italian favorites such as “O Mio Babbino Caro, Parla Piu Piano, Mamma and Sole Mio”.

Fr. Enzo Addari, SdC., Administrator of St. Louis Center said, “We are grateful to Eva and all of the performers who supported us and the other charities tonight, and Joe Vicari and the staff of Andiamo’s did a wonderful job in taking care of the many patrons who enjoyed the evening and made it a great event.” St. Louis Center is a residential care facility for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities located five miles west of Chelsea in Washtenaw County.
